Visit Britain representative has overnight stay at Ramblers’ Rest!

Although we knew we were to expect a visit from Visit Britain to rate our accommodation, and despite a few ‘Do you think she is?’ sort of feelings, Zoe and I were still surprised and slightly ‘panicky’ when a lovely guest presented herself after breakfast to announce she was in fact doing our ratings. She had thoroughly enjoyed her stay at The Ramblers’ Rest and took time to sit down with us to discuss her stay and offer us some very useful advice. We are awaiting  an official report but we believe we are to be given a high 4 stars, which we are really pleased with.

The B&B Accommodation is going really well and we are getting a wide cross section of customer, walkers doing the Wolds and Minster Way walks , couples and families enjoying a weekend away and lots of cyclists doing the  ‘Way of the Roses’ cycle route. This is a long distance ’coast to Coast’ cycle route of 170miles from Morcambe to Bridlington and  to our delight passes through the village of Millington. This  couple were setting off early in the morning with the sun brightly shining,  to continue the ride, having had a relaxing nights stay with us.

Another bank holiday is upon us.

We have a busy weekend ahead with private party restaurant bookings,  the B&B  rooms almost fully booked  and     hopefully   busy with customers enjoying the picturesque Wolds scenery and the  hospitality of  The Ramblers’ Rest tea  room.  Indulge in afternoon tea, with, for example, a Ramblers’ Rest Platter including home cooked honey roast ham,  home made Fresh Cream and Strawberry Scones, Meringues,  and Fresh Raspberry Bakewell Tart.

The Tea Room is open Thurs- Monday from 10.30am. We loook forward to welcoming you.

Can’t see a comment section anywhere else, and feeling the need to express my feelings I have to put them on here.
My husband and I are visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Holme-upon-Spalding Moor, and were treated to lunch at the Rambler’s Rest today, Thursday 23rd June, 2011. It was gorgeous, really lovely, and we very much enjoyed it, the whole experience. We had the black pudding with red cabbage and it was absolutely delicious, the best black pudding I’ve ever had, and the apple and bramble pie I had for pudding was divine, the pastry superb.
I am sure we’ll be back, as our family have already been to sample your delights several times since they moved back to Yorkshire. Can’t wait!
